National Basketball Association or NBA is a professional basketball league in the United States of America. It consists of 30 teams, 15 from the West Coast and 15 from the East Coast(except for Toronto Raptors). The league was started back in 1949 as Basketball Association of America but in 1949 it was renamed as NBA after the merger of BAA and NBL. The current commissioner of the NBA is Adam Silver.
The NBA Regular Season consisting of 82 Games starts in October and ends in April. The playoffs in the NBA are best of 7 series in which the top 8 teams from each of the conference compete against each and the top team of each conference then meets in the NBA Finals.
